DrEuVic1 | Purposeful Living- Life moves in seasons

As March arrives and signs of spring begin to appear, I am reminded of how God’s design in nature follows His purpose. Trees do not rush their growth. Flowers do not bloom before their appointed time. Each season unfolds with intention, reminding us that timing is not accidental but divinely ordered.
Yet in our own lives, we often resist the season we are in.
There have been seasons when I felt ready for harvest, yet God was still teaching me how to plant. Seasons when I prayed for acceleration, but what I truly needed was strengthening. Looking back, I now see that what felt like a delay was preparation.
Scripture reminds us:
“To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under heaven.”
Ecclesiastes 3:1 (NIV)
This verse reassures me that nothing in our lives is random. There is purpose in growth. Purpose in waiting. Purpose even in stretching.
Some seasons are visible and fruitful. Others are quiet and formative. Modern life encourages constant productivity, but God’s rhythm is different. Sometimes, He builds roots beneath the surface before allowing fruit to appear.
I have learned that frustration often comes when I misidentify my season, try to harvest during planting, compare my timeline to someone else’s, or resist the pace God has set.
Over the last couple of years, I found myself thinking it was time to move on in my career. That expectation created unnecessary unrest. Peace returned when I paused to consider what God might be developing in me right where I was. I began to see that peace emerges when we align our expectations with God’s timing.
Peace grows when we stop asking, “Why is this not moving faster?” and begin asking, “What is God forming in me right now?”
Purposeful living begins with discernment.
Before asking God to change your circumstances, ask Him to help you understand them. Is this a season of preparation? Refinement? Healing? Expansion? Renewal?
Comparison clouds clarity. Your journey does not need to mirror anyone else’s. God’s work in your life is intentional and precise.
As you step into March, pause and reflect:
What season am I in?
Where have I been resisting God’s pace?
What might He be teaching me here?
Purposeful living is not about forcing the next chapter. It is about faithfully walking through the one you are in.
