Fellow Fulfillment seekers,

As the year draws to a close, many of us find ourselves reflecting on our accomplishments. Like you, I’ve been taking a holistic approach to evaluating my goals: assessing what worked and what didn’t and identifying ways to improve in the future. While this reflection can be valuable, it can also lead to unnecessary stress and anxiety, especially if we fall short of our goals.

Instead of dwelling on what cannot be undone, consider a perspective shared by Brother Wilson: forgive yourself first. Holding onto past disappointments will only keep you stuck and prevent you from moving forward. I’ll be the first to admit I didn’t accomplish all my goals this year, including my commitment to creating more content for my channel. For that, I sincerely apologize to my followers. But I’ve chosen to forgive myself and let go. Dwelling too deeply on disappointments could paralyze me, and I’d risk losing momentum altogether.

One lesson I’ve found invaluable comes from Pastor Johnson of Blessed Memory: Live in the moment. As a rigid planner who thrives on a fully scheduled calendar, this concept didn’t initially resonate with me. But when I understood and embraced it—along with learning to forgive myself and others—it created space, flexibility, and focus, allowing the Lord to work through me.

Philippians 4:6-7 is a guiding light for moments of stress: Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. When you forgive yourself, it releases anxiety and brings peace, enabling you to focus on what truly matters and what God wants for you.

Matthew 6:34 reminds us: “Do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.” Yes, we can plan for the future, but we don't do it out of anxiety or worry. Similarly, Isaiah 43:18 encourages us to forget the former things and not dwell on the past. If we release our worries about the future and let go of the past, we’re left with the present moment—the now—where we can find peace and clarity to discern God’s plans.

Isaiah 43:19 reinforces this promise: "See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland." God is always at work, creating new opportunities, but we must be present- in the moment- to recognize and embrace them.

If we’re distracted by regrets or anxieties, we might miss His plans.

As you prepare for the new year, make resolutions that align with His purpose. These should include forgiveness, releasing anxiety, and creating space for God to direct your path by living in Him—in the moment. Let’s enter the new year not just with plans but with hearts open to His guidance. Embrace God’s plans for your life to find fulfillment.

Remain blessed and stay tuned to nuggets about achieving your goals.
